Presentation Formats
ForestSAT 2026 offers four presentation formats, reflecting its hybrid format:
🏛️ In-Person Presentations
- Oral Presentation (in person): 12-minute talk followed by a 3-minute Q&A session, delivered live at the University of Florida. Authors are required to submit their presentation slides (PPTX) using the conference template (PPTX) . Presentations must be submitted via the portal by April 27, 2026. This will allow our team to ensure smooth delivery of content to all in-person and virtual participants.
- Poster Presentation (in person): Posters will be displayed in the Grand Ballroom for the duration of the conference. Authors are requested to be present at their poster during the Poster Reception on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Poster Display Specifications
- One side of a poster board will be provided, along with pushpins.
- Display area: 60 in (152 cm) height × 72 in (182 cm) width.
- Total board height (including pedestal): 74 in (187 cm).
- Setup: Monday, May 4, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM or Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM
- Removal: Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM
Several local businesses can print posters for reasonable rates (less than $40 USD). Please contact them directly:
🌐 Virtual Presentations
- Oral Presentation (virtual): 12-minute talk followed by a 3-minute Q&A session, delivered via Zoom. Authors presenting virtually will do so in real time during their assigned session and timeslot. Please note that the conference time zone is U.S. Eastern Time. Authors are required to submit their presentation slides (PPTX) using the conference template (PPTX) and a 12-minute recorded presentation to be used as a backup in case of connectivity issues, using the portal below. Presentations must be submitted via the portal by April 27, 2026. This will allow our team to ensure smooth delivery of content to all in-person and virtual participants.
- Poster Presentation (virtual): Virtual poster presentations consist of a 5-minute presentation followed by a 2-minute Q&A session, delivered via Zoom. Authors presenting virtually will do so in real time during the virtual poster session timeslot (see Agenda for details). Please note that the conference time zone is U.S. Eastern Time. Authors are required to submit their presentation slides (PPTX) and a 5-minute recorded presentation to be used as a backup in case of connectivity issues. Please use the portal below.
Video Format Guidelines
To ensure compatibility and smooth playback across all sessions, please follow the guidelines below:
- File format: MP4 (recommended)

Maximum duration:
- Oral presentations: 12 minutes
- Poster presentations: 5 minutes
- Resolution: 1080p (1920 × 1080) recommended
- Aspect ratio: 16:9
- Audio: Clear narration (built-in microphone or headset is acceptable)
- File size: Keep under 300 MB whenever possible
Submission Deadline: All presentation materials must be submitted via the portal by April 27, 2026.
